How to Activate the Grand Lift of Dectus in Elden Ring

As the Tarnished, as you make your way through Liurnia, the second major area in Elden Ring, you would see yourself face to face with a structure which is known as the Great Lift of Dectus; This lift is the key to get to Altus Plateau. What you need to acquire in order to activate the Grand Lift of Dectus is two halves of the Dectus Medallion which are located at different locations where you might have travelled before. By finding the first half of the Medallion, you would be able to read the description of the item and find out about the location of the next half.

How to Activate the Grand Lift of Dectus in Elden Ring

To get your hands on the left half, you need to get to Fort Haight which is located in East Limgrave. Acquiring this half should not be that hard, as all the enemies you need to conquer are a few soldiers and fire-bomb throwers. You have to climb up the stairs and a ladder to get to the top of the fort where a chest can be found. The left half is inside that chest and by reading the description, you will know where to go next.

The right half of the Medallion is located in Fort Faroth in the Caelid region. It will prove to be more challenging to get as there is a dragon near the path which leads to the entrance, though you can ignore it. The enemies would be stronger here as well. So if you feel you are not ready to take them down, you might want to ascend the stairs and run toward the ladder to the top of the tower. Now, you can get the second half from the chest in front of you.

The final step you need to take to activate the lift is to get to the location of the Grand Lift of Dectus and bring the two halves together to complete the Medallion. Stand on the closest circle on the ground to the big guardian statues and you will spot a “Hoist Medallion” option on the screen.
